One of my possibilities for #NaturaLitsyBingo2023. Sounds really interesting and I enjoyed another audiobook narrated by Pinchot earlier this year (An Odyssey by Daniel Mendelsohn). I‘m already having so much fun planning for this. Thanks @AllDebooks !

While it is a longer read than completely necessary, I really loved this book. Deeply insightful into the ideologies that have formed the major modern strains of environmental thinking, specifically with regards to our approaches to technology. Mann explores the perspectives with such skill that I found my own thinking wavering back and forth between the two major schools of thought depending on who he was training his eye on in a given chapter.
