I‘m endlessly fascinated by Priest‘s recursive storytelling on this book. He constantly revisits earlier scenes, revealing new information and recontextualizing what we think we know about these characters and their relationships. This is he book‘s strongest volume to date, in part because of a single moment in the end that seems to shatter the recursive loop. Or does it? DEATHSTROKE remains too dense to predict yet reliably thrilling.
