I first knew Nausicaa as Princess Zandra in Warriors of the Wind. Watching it over & over on VHS, I fell in love with her fearless & joyful spirit and her fierce determination. Later, I learned that the movie I so loved was a butchered adaptation of Miyazaki's Nausicaa of the Valley of Wind, so I started collecting the manga.
