The Start of Something Good
The Start of Something Good | Jennifer Probst
4 posts | 3 read | 3 to read
An enriching story of family ties, broken hearts, and second chances from New York Times bestselling author Jennifer Probst. When Ethan Bishop returns to the Hudson Valley, his body and spirit are a little worse for wear. As a former Special Forces paratrooper, he saw his fair share of conflict, and he came home with wounds, inside and out. At his sisters' B & B and farm, he can keep all his pain at a safe distance. But quiet time isn't easy when a fiery woman explodes into his life... It's business--not pleasure--that brings Manhattan PR agent Mia Thrush reluctantly to the farm. Tightly wound and quick tempered, Mia clashes immediately with the brooding Ethan. Everything about him is irritating--from his lean muscles and piercing blue eyes to his scent of sweat and musk. But as the summer unfolds and temperatures rise, Ethan and Mia discover how much they have in common: their guarded histories, an uncontrollable desire, and a passion for the future that could heal two broken hearts. But will their pasts threaten their fragile chance at a brand-new future?

Mehso-so

What a lovely shot of romance!!! The angst, drama, trauma, sparks were great to watch unfold.

Pickpick

This is more a toss up between so-so and a pick for me. It‘s very typical contemporary romance, not too “naughty” but definitely some. It was very predictable in every sense and exactly what you‘d expect from a typical contemporary romance.

Getting a little reading in before I have to shower, put on real clothes and go be people-y out in the real world.

Bostonmomx2 @ReadOrDieRachel it is. We are still dropping into the 30s and 40s at night so the mornings are super chilly. I love it. 7y
wanderinglynn And you have a cutie-pie to snuggle with! That always makes mornings better. ❤️🐶 7y

The tagged book I received courtesy of Netgalley and then the other two became available via my e-Library. I really want to read all three at once but I guess I‘ll Read the Probst book first. It‘ll be my first of hers.
@Marilyn1970 aren‘t you a big fan of her books?

Marilyn1970 I usually do really like her books. I like that they are a little spicy. ;) They are predictable, but romances in general is to me anyway 7y
