Random PSA - this book is the cutest! It's full of all the nerdy goodnesss like Harry Houdini and escapology, Wil Wheaton and Star Trek, and David Bowie and The Labyrinth.

I read it when it was on netgalley and it makes my heart happy to see it in paperback at my local library.

Pickpick

A delightful mix of old-school magic and contemporary heart. Mattie learns escapology from the hilariously irratible, reclusive daughter of a famous escape artist in an effort to combat her own invisibility. I liked that she keeps it a secret. It's a very personal journey for her, Miyu and the few peers she eventually tells; this isn't a "reveal it at the school talent show and suddenly have tons of friends" story. Funny, quirky & heartfelt!
