Three dogs and a book. Cooper and Wesley are head to head down the end of the couch, while the foot and tail belong to Rocco. HIS head is on my lap.

I liked Florent Chavouet‘s TOKYO ON FOOT so much that I immediately requested his second Japanese travelogue. It‘s great so far; another deep dive into experiences most tourists never manage to have, with plenty of fascinating details on every page.

Aimeesue 50 shots of Shochu! Clearly not all at once 😂 (edited) 2y
xicanti @Aimeesue it took him a couple months‘ worth of visits to the town shochu-pusher! 2y

Another fun travelogue sketchbook from Chavouet (his Tokyo on Foot is a personal fav). Manabeshima is a tiny island in the Japan Inland Sea, and he presents a nice portrait of the quaint and quirky life of those living in this isolated fishing community. Very Japanese but so unlike Tokyo. It'd be a great read before going on JET. #mommyreads #travel #comics #japan
