I enjoyed the detailed illustrations of the story.

This book was interesting to say the least. The author had a repetitive plot that was pretty easy to follow. For the most part, the author had a style that was that of a past time period. I enjoyed the illustrations of this novel, they were extremely detailed.

This is the first page the children will see and I think that it would grab their attention because it‘s so interesting so I would use it in a classroom

This was an awesome wonder tale about a girl who traveled to free her prince from a spell.

This story reminds me a lot of Beauty and the Beast.

This is originally a Norwegian folktale and is the story of a bewitched prince and the determined girl who loves him. It is a classic hero‘s journey story and is fun to read to kids. Great for a classroom.

Traditional lit. East O‘ the Sun and West O‘ the Moon is a very interesting story. It‘s a little long for early childhood, but overall a great story that children would enjoy. The pictures are beautiful and really help to tell the story.

So there was great joy and love between them all that night.

I found it fascinating that this was originally a Norwegian fairy tale (1844). It was translated in 1859 by a man who is compared to C.S. Lewis. The introduction was beautifully written and helps to see into the connections between other fairy tales and this specific book.

Beautiful, contrasting illustrations. The storyline was detailed with lots of little pieces and parts that were essential to pay attention to. Overall, the storyline was lengthy, but well thought out. Fairly wordy for early childhood, however.
