Interesting take on a vampire as a murderous environmental crusader since her immortality means she's going to be stuck on the ruined planet humans screw up. Not the first take on climate conscious vampires I've seen, something that really should be the standard for all immortal creatures in paranormal fiction these days.

Knocked out a bunch of hoopla reads last night. Does anyone ever read something and go "wow this was almost cool but I need to rewrite it myself to make it what I really want"? Because that was me for . It's advertised as this "ecological action horror thrill ride" but is kind of light on the eco stuff and super heavy on the character herself (backstory, destruction, etc). I would've liked more environmental content, at least

xicanti I believe that's the driving impulse behind a lot of fanfic. 6y
queerbookreader @xicanti Ya either "I could've done this better I'm gonna do it myself dammit" or like "I NEED MORE CONTENT" are the two key factors in fanfic. I'm seeing a ton of Ocean's 8 Lou/Deb queer fanfic because folks want that queer ship realized 6y
