Pickpick

In general, I liked this book and think it‘s worth the read. It‘s beautifully written, and provides a lot of insight on a niche part of Dominican history that I had never heard of before. A very interesting blend of how the issues faced by previous generations of a family, as well as the superstitions & prejudices, can effect future generations. Though, I‘ve been on more of a “fantasy” kick lately, so I don‘t think I was in the right “mood” for it

Extremely fascinating. This passage follows up one about how the arranged marriages of society women was a lot like slavery. One of my favorite parts about reading, is when a fiction book teaches me about little-known practices from other cultures 💖

LazyDays That's the best! I end up going down a rabbit hole of discovery. Which reading is all about💗💗 6y
