London 1946. An actress is murdered, not just on camera but in full view of a crowded film set. Only six people had an opportunity to administer the poison yet not one of them had a conceivable motive. Even though I like Gilbert's characters, especially Evadne Mount and Cora Rutherford, I found this book overly constructed and trying to be super clever. It's not a bad book, but won't have a lasting impression either.
