As a kid, I never read Christopher Pike, which is unfortunate because I would have loved his books! This story is about a group of kids who go on a treasure hunt, unknown to them, the treasure is guarded by a dragon! There kids are smart & clever & the story shares some interesting dragon mythology. The only thing that I disliked was that the ending was rushed.

so-so

I loved Christopher Pike when I was a tween and picked this one up during a bookoutlet sale, not really knowing what it was and feeling nostalgic. It turns out that he wrote a series of books similar to Goosebumps, middle grade thrillers. This is the 12th in the series. The gang offers to help find a hidden treasure and gets more than they bargained for when it‘s guarded by a dragon. Kind of wraps up abruptly.
