Currently reading two awesome books about Girls. #StalinsCows brings the lives of three stonian girls Anna and her eating disorder, her mother Katarina who marries a finish guy (=capitalist) during the cold war, and their grandmother/mother who went through all the hard times during the sovietic leadership.
In #TheGirlInThePhotograph (thanks @batsy), Lygia F. Telles tells the story of three friends who go through Brazilian military dictatorship.
batsy Both sound fascinating! 7y
iporto @batsy they are! (So far at least).. I really wish Lygia Fagundes Telles was as known as Clarice Lispector outside Brazil. She is awesome! 7y
batsy I found the English translation of the book (I hope!) and immediately stacked it thanks to you 🙂
