pickThis is the 6th book in the Alvin the Maker series. I've read them all chronologically, and I must say I was put off by the beginning chapters, because I had no idea where we were in time and space. It's like the author had picked up the character and just plopped him down somewhere else with no rhyme or reason. However like every book in this series so far it grew and grew until I couldn't put it down and I read the last 75 pages in a sitting.
