This a gripping read, it‘s full of twists and turns, a few red herrings and a surprise ending. There‘s even a hint of creepiness. No-one is whom they seem and no-one can be trusted. The characters are mostly unlikeable but well drawn, so the reader can have a great love to hate relationship with them! It‘s definitely a page turner. Just don‘t be lulled into a false sense of security!

Oh no, no, no. As per usual these days, a formulaic psychological thriller with extreme plot twists, unreliable female narrator (why are they always FEMALE??), a whole host of unlikeable characters and bad people doing bad things.
If this is your bag - go for it because you'll LOVE it. If you're after something a little bit more original then read something else.

had such sympathy for all the characters, with the anger and domestic violence issues being at the fore and due to Phoebe Morgan‘s marvellous writing I was on tenterhooks right to the very end.....a definite must read for all fans of a domestic thriller.
