The Distance Between Me and the Cherry Tree | 
so-soA charming middle grade book about a young girl coming to terms with her incipient sight loss. I found it a little twee at times & lacking the universality that I enjoy in YA but I'm very much NOT its target audience. The issues are there - the MC's sight loss, the friend's parent's divorce and the illness/death of the mentor but they are dealt with in a superficial manner. That said, I loved the Epilogue, a neat emotional twist.
