I started 2026 with a banger of a book… I laughed… I cried… and was utterly in love with this book and these characters! Even when your world goes to crap, there is always something like a good holiday movie that will bring you home!!

I think that‘s why everyone loves holiday movies so much. The world goes to shit, but they stay exactly the same 🎅🏻🎄
Grief is one long flashback interrupted occasionally by the present 🖤

This was a cute romance with no smut at all. I would say closed door but there wasn‘t really even any sex off the page either. This is more about recovering from losing a spouse at a young age than the romance but it‘s not depressing, it‘s sweet. It was exactly what I was looking for.

I don‘t typically rewatch movies, but holiday movies are an exception. I also love to hear others talk about what their favorite holiday movies are and why. There‘s something so comforting and festive about it - a way to bond, destress, mark the passage of time, and feel the Christmas spirit. This book captured the essence of that feeling! There were some things I didn‘t love, but overall, it was sweet. 🎧

This was the new Christmas romcom-ish book I needed. Cute, but it had substance, and I really enjoyed both main characters‘ journeys through grief. The kids, the dogs, the extended families, I liked it all.

I think this will be my favorite listen of the holiday. It‘s holiday ish but also a great deal about grief as the two mains - Grace and Henry have each lost someone - perhaps spoiler alert but also good to know going in. Having my own grief surface around the holidays this was a breath of fresh air to listen to the fun banter and the realness of loss. Also, it covers all the Christmas movie favorites - and has a cute dog - for the absolute win.

My #bookclub had a fun time discussing this one (though we will have to have the popcorn fish at our next meeting!), and I had fun listening to this while #AudioDecorating! It‘s a holiday rom-com with some genuinely funny parts— though the overall consensus was that it‘s a better listen than read because of how great the performances are! It‘s not unpredictable, plus Grace‘s discovery about the past felt unnecessary, but it‘s a fun holiday story!

A grief-soaked love story set at Christmas. Two widow/ers meet and decide to watch some Christmas movies together (it makes sense, I promise). This one doesn‘t come without some heartbreak, but there‘s humor as well. If doesn‘t shy away from the realities of marriage or the pain of loss, but it has notes of hope. I really enjoyed it and it was excellent on audio with switching narrators as we went between Henry & Grace‘s POV.

First, this cover is perfect! Second, I love the chapters playing off of Christmas movies, makes the book unique. And Thirdly, I love the sad and heartfelt love story of this book! It‘s not just Christmas fluff but an actual story with meaning ❤️🎄☃️
~The Grinch is one of my favorite must watch Christmas movies every year😁

Up next on audio! 🎧

Grace & Henry's Holiday Movie Marathon for tonight's Silent Reading w/ @tbrgirlies_bookclub

I enjoy a fictional book with a really good dog name in it – Harry Styles, I mean come on🐶 Also, Henry is a dream - a guy with a little to no experience with kids but has an instant connection with Grace‘s lovely kiddos. It was a cute and fun read. I need books like this in December🤣

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.
