Finished a book last night, so had to make a decision this morning on what to read next. I decided I was in the mood for romantic suspense. #romantsy #currentlyreading

Just the kind of #romantsy suspense I like. Lots of emphasis on the suspense aspect, a number of secondary characters to continue the series, & plot resolution without solving the big bad. 🔫🔫🔫🔫 3:12:12 #24B4Monday Rolling on to book two.

The DC and DC area details are just delightful to me. The relationship is resolved but the big bad is not, so good thing the next one is out already.

At almost 500pgs this is one long romantic suspense novel. The thrills were good- a new smallpox virus being sold to the highest bidder &possibly to be released in DC- but the romance left me wanting. For as much introspection that happened in Maddox‘s &Cole‘s head, not a lot went on as far as talking out &resolving their past. There‘s an underlying mystery that doesn‘t get resolved by the end gearing for a good start to the next book.
