I got distracted from this book but am happy to be back reading it! This feminist, contemporary Olympus-gods-retelling #romance series is CRIMINALLY under-rated. I love it all.

pickI wasn‘t really sure how to rate this. Like some of the other reviewers, I too feel like it was too short. The narration felt a little less polished than I would‘ve preferred. That said, it was a feel good quick story to listen to while I was prepping dinner tonight, so I‘m giving it a soft pick. #romantsy
This romance is a bit different from what I expected but I really like it! There is some really thoughtful inclusion of stuff like anxiety, an aging/disabled parent, death of a sibling, grief, and family estrangement. pickThis book is inspired by When Harry Met Sally. That‘s the hook that pulled me in. Unlike some readers, I didn‘t mind the prickly beginning. Fair warning: the characters don‘t come across as particularly likable at the beginning. They start off hating each other— and for good reason. I only wish the publisher could have sprung for a photographic cover that featured both women. I would love to see the older, masculine presenting Latina woman who wears trousers!
