Jennifer Carpenter dreams of being a different person – A person with confidence, a person with beauty, a person who weighs a heck of a lot less. At twenty-seven, her world falls apart. Interesting readā€”the main character is flawed and dislikable, but I admire her determination and root for her successes, even while I grow frustrated by her mistakes. All in all an interesting read, and I'd recommend it to anyone who had been insecure with themselves. That said, while there is plot, this book largely relies on characterization: if you're all about action, this isn't the book for you.

As much as I love the concept of becoming someone you are happy to be, I at this exact moment want to throat punch the main character. I am not done yet, so I am still holding out hope that the main character figures out that the way you look has very little do with who you are.
