pickAmelia Earhart: the legend of the lost aviator is a great biography by Shelley Tanaka with illustrations by David Craig which has won Orbis Pictus award. I chose this book, initially, because of it‘s beautiful illustration on the front cover. It is a great book that talks about Amelia‘s early life and how she became fascinated with air travel.
Haleysantucci I think this is a great book for students to partner read so that they can collaborate on their opinions of Amelia Earhart. I would use UDL principles 7.1 by allowing the students to choose their own partners and 8.3 because they‘d be collaborating with in their one-on-one partnership. 5y
Haleysantucci I would utilize ESOL strategy number 17 and2 because the book would have visual representation of what the story was saying and they‘d be working in a small group. 5y
