Brainwashing: The Science of Thought Control | Kathleen Taylor
Bringing the worlds of neuroscience and social psychology together, this book examines the ethical problems involved in carrying out the required experiments on humans, the limitations of animal models, and the frightening implications of such research. The first section was interesting, describing brainwashing using several real-life examples. The second section, going into detail on neuroscience, was too much for me, and I skimmed through the rest, including the third section which I didn‘t think added much to the book. I think the author did a great job of explaining complex ideas, but had I not skimmed, this book would have taken me the rest of the month to read 😂
