The Price of Meat | 
It‘s finally warm! I sat outside and read this creepy novella from K.J. Charles. It‘s set in an alternate Victorian England where King Victor II‘s rule has the country crumbling apart, and I‘m sorry she‘s never returned to the setting. It feels like she intended to, but I guess her non-alternate historicals have taken precedence in recent years. It‘s been ages since she published any fantasy, too.
