This book reminded me of “Bridge to Terabithia.” It‘s so good at dealing with difficult subjects, including death and divorce.

Told from the perspectives of 7 kids in Mr. Terupt‘s 5th grade class, this story weaves a narrative spanning a school year. The kids learn they do better working together and learn to stand up for each other. When an accident happens, they learn a difficult lesson about responsibility and forgiveness.

This amazing book written by Rob Buyea, is one that children of 10-14 years should read. This book is all about how a group of people go to school, become friends, met an amazing teacher (Mr. Terupt) and solve their problems in school. In this book an unfortunate accident happens due to which Terupt reaches in the hospital.

I really liked this book. I kept hearing about it so often that I figured I‘d give it a read. Good summer teacher reading.

It's hard to follow on audio as there are like nine narrators, but only two voice across. They tried to make them sounds different, but the girls were especially hard. Once you listen for a while you can did if distinguish based on personality, which.. these kids were pretty unique. Wouldn't say 100% fleshed out, but enough for where it's geared.

night_shift Also, I feel like this wouldn't effect a kid as much as their teacher (who probably hopes to have this much of an impact). It seemed a little heavy handed in that message. 7y

Told from the viewpoints of multiple students, this book shows how important teachers can be on kids' personal lives. Teachers do more than teach standards.

I liked this book because this had a relationship between a student and teacher. Peter was playing his games and mr.terupt let him play his games maybe because mr terupt was like that? There relationship was positive and was like no other student and teacher relationship.
