This week‘s list is “The 500 Greatest Songs of all Time” 400-301 - all that classic and yacht rock is paying off lol! I may be the only person born in the 70‘s who had The Zombies in my Spotify‘s top 5 of the year for 2023. I love music and had a pretend DJ set up as a kid, I lived in the country and had to make my own fun 🎵 ❤️

1. My work nickname was peanut for some reason, and it evolved into Peaknit when I had a knitting blog for 8 or so years.
2. I like to walk or of course, KNIT! lol
3. The dramatized version of Fourth Wing, it was outstanding!

What‘s new? I learned to make sourdough bread with my friend and daughter last weekend, so we have had very yummy two loaves in the house. Now I am nervously feeding starter hoping to keep it alive! 🤣

I had listened to a couple of drama podcasts with sound effects and cast but never a book, after some encouragement from new library coworkers, I listened to this, and wow. I am not typically into fantasy but this story grabbed me. It is an epic tale of young people being conscripted to save the world, it‘s like Hunger Games with dragons. I took more walks than usual to continue - PT at the library may be good for my health! *It is a little 🌶️.

Listening to the dramatized audio of this book on my recent walks, it feels so real with a cast and sound effects I turned around several times thinking something was behind me. Several women at work are listening and now I‘m hooked! Enough to walk 3 miles in 85 degree heat today 🥵🤣

1. My ideal summer vacation has been a staycation with equal parts day trips and yard work. I don‘t enjoy the hustle of summer vacation with all the kids out of school, so I prefer little doses. I treasure a fall trip.
2. Staycation is a blend of easy reads and more thoughtful ones, I tend to keep it light on vacay when I travel. Last week I made a list of reads and checked them off, a book vacation success!

So excited for this sequel. My husband said “I‘ve never seen you run OUT of the library”…he‘s never had a coveted hold come in 🤣 🏃‍♀️ 📕

An eclectic selection of movies, I liked the Johnny Tremain but perhaps the one made in the 70‘s with the Disney actor from The Shaggy DA and Old Yeller. Those old Disney movies are my 🩷 I cried during most of them.

#wondrouswednesday This one is thoughtful. I don‘t think people see me the way I see myself, I am introverted, but can extrovert. I feel like I may look stand offish but I‘m really just listening and gauging where/if I can join. Like watching a jump rope. Waiting for the opening ☺️

This book had me laughing out loud THREE times while reading in bed last night. i even had to read an excerpt to my lit-allergic husband. I feel this woman to my core. Menopausal women, unite! 💪🏻😂 (and whenever Ann Patchett gives it a nod, I‘m in.)

Brrr it‘s chilly in WI but a great day to read in sweats on the deck. Finished a NetGalley read - tagged. I need to marinate on this for a bit, but I really enjoyed this. I have only read a few Cork O‘Connor mysteries, so I have a nice backlog to look forward to.

1. That‘s a good question. We had a terrible time naming our second daughter so I still notice names I like, 19 years later. Tessa and Josie are top contenders.

#wednesdaywanderings Very Late!!my most ambitious walk - my best pal and I did the Syttende Mai walk two years in a row. May 17 is my birthday and a nearby town‘s fest to acknowledge the Norway Independence Day. The walk was 17 miles and there was one slice of orange at the single sag wagon. We were armed with snacks the 2nd year. Fool us once… lol - it was a slog and a blast! #LitSolace #MidSummerSolace

A Bug‘s Life gets special mention as it was my oldest daughter‘s favorite and my mom really went the extra to get her the VHS tape and the little figurines, it‘s a great kids movie with a nice message of team work❤️ and where was Good Will Hunting? A personal #1!

1. I kind of read “what sounds good” depending on how I feel. I have a Camp Litsy book that I‘m not sure is exciting me but it‘s also a library book, so challenges and due dates drive my choices sometimes.
2. I cannot wait to read Rom Commers by Katherine Center, it comes out today, but I get the book Friday, so I‘ll try gobble up a book to clear my deck. I like to read books by authors I love hot off the press!

Happy Sunday! Enjoying some deck time with the latest summer read. I love that BOTM has early releases occasionally. And also enjoying simple instapot made yogurt. I have been making it weekly and it is a great protein boost (hello midlife) and very fresh tasting. My dad worked in a dairy my entire childhood, so a nod to him. Obv I‘m taking the easy way out. ☺️

2. We have some one night or day big city and State park trips planned, I‘m a fall traveler.
