Immortals of Meluha
Immortals of Meluha | Amish Tripathi
1900 BC. In what modern Indians mistakenly call the Indus Valley Civilisation. The inhabitants of that period called it the land of Meluha - a near perfect empire created many centuries earlier by Lord Ram, one of the greatest monarchs that ever lived. This once proud empire and its Suryavanshi rulers face severe perils as its primary river, the revered Saraswati, is slowly drying to extinction. They also face devastating terrorist attacks from the east, the land of the Chandravanshis. To make matters worse, the Chandravanshis appear to have allied with the Nagas, an ostracised and sinister race of deformed humans with astonishing martial skills. The only hope for the Suryavanshis is an ancient legend: 'When evil reaches epic proportions, when all seems lost, when it appears that your enemies have triumphed, a hero will emerge.'Is the rough-hewn Tibetan immigrant Shiva, really that hero? And does he want to be that hero at all? Drawn suddenly to his destiny, by duty as well as by love, will Shiva lead the Suryavanshi vengeance and destroy evil? This is the first book in a trilogy on Shiva, the simple man whose karma re-cast him as our Mahadev, the God of Gods.

"Stability allows a person the freedom of choice, my friend. People can pursue their dreams only when they are living in a society where survival is not threatened on a daily basis."

Something to think about.

What is evil? Is evil really something? Or is it just a concept in our minds that our way of life forms.

A story of war, principles, customs, and some very interesting questions.

Personal favourite was the chapter pandit of mohan jo daro.

Overall a nice read 😁

This is a beautiful line from a book called "The Immortals of Meluha" by Amish Tripathi. It's one of the book from The Shiva Trilogy series. An absolutely amazing mythological book. Highly recommended ?

This is where it all started some 8-9 years ago. This is the first novel that I read. I used to read some books like goosebumbs, short stroies, small naratives etc. This opened my heart to novels. The emotional side it brought about me was awesome. From here it was no looking back. I still feel there is a lot to read and I feel had I found this app ealrier it would had helped me immensely.
So many books, so little time.

Well you know the best thing I liked about this book, it's cover, and i(mistakenly) "judged the book by its cover" and its reviews. Well In brief the book is quite good in its engagement, u can cannot keep the book down once u started. But the problem with it is that there is no logic in it i mean a story, I think set-up in 2018AD and they are talking about Oxidants and Antioxidants, I mean seriously...

Really awesome book. When something is coming from Amish's pen then be ready for a fabulous reading experience. He has written so beautifully that you can make a film in your head while reading. I thoroughly enjoyed.

Neelkanth, sati and life full of adventure love and findings. A person, a simple person becoming God. Lovely. Trust, faith, war, victory and loss all at the same place.

I read this after I had read the first two books of Ram Chandra series. But this book is really blockbuster. The story of Lord Shiva is narrated so well by the author which has made this book unputdownable.

Meh ! 😏A very slow start , the story manages to pick up towards the end though . Had high expectations from Amish Tripathi after his last book Krishna Key but this was a big let down . The only good part was reading about Shiva 😍

SinghRaghav A most fascinating book.....I had read it all three books in one week.....because when I was started reading my mind was gone in the world of melhua 7y

How can someone put this book down and do something else. I can't. Awesome 3 book series based on Hindu lord, Shiva 's life. To present Shiva as just a normal human being like us and his doings what make him 'Lord', #AmishTripathi is going to get 4.6/5.0 ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌠
