He observed again the complex motif composed by the strips of flesh spread across the floor of the room. What he felt was less disgust than a sort of general pity for the entire earth, for mankind, which can, in its heart, give birth to such horrors.
Absolutely brilliant with one of the most horrific depictions of a killing ever written down. Really just an astonishing book
I'm enjoying a good book and a cup of tea right now. A great way to spend the Saturday morning.
Later the day I have to work on a presentation for uni. It's about gender in buffy the vampire slayer. 😊
Just finished. Fantastic, especially the rather gruesome self-parody. Rapidly becoming my favourite living author (top 10 at least).
