Girl meets boy. Girl loses boy. Girl gets boy back... ...sort of. Ava can't see him or touch him, unless she's dreaming. She can't hear his voice, except for the faint whispers in her mind. Most would think she's crazy, but she knows he's here. Jackson. The boy Ava thought she'd spend the rest of her life with. He's back from the dead, as proof that love truly knows no bounds.

This book was recommended to me by a friend and the story was unique and one of a kind. I loved how it was a novel in verse so it didn‘t overwhelm me. I would rate this book a nine out of ten. Because it wasn‘t extremely amazing but it was still great.

I read the whole book and it didn't really strike a cord in me, overall it had an interesting topic but I don't feel the author did the best job of it.

This is one of my favourite quotes from this book. “I feel thankful for the best gift of all. It‘s the one wrapped around my heart with a big, pink bow—the never-ending gift of friendship.” I love this quote because friendship is very important to me. There was one point in my life where I didn‘t really have friends. But now that I do have some, my life is so much better and I feel more valued. @SydneyBaerg @Cassie_kosolofski3

MrsBabki That is an amazing pick and write up.

Ava‘s boyfriend dies in an accident. She is grief-stricken. In the moments she is home alone, she senses Jackson‘s presence and starts to live her life for those moments they share.

This is a novel in verse, which makes it a quick, though poignant read. My favorite thing about it is that it seems to be moving in one direction, plot-wise, but then veers off to an ending that felt more realistic.

A sweet story of grief, loss, and healing.
