Internal Time
Internal Time: Chronotypes, Social Jet Lag, and Why You're So Tired | Till Roenneberg
1 post | 2 read | 4 to read
Early birds and night owls are born, not made. Sleep patterns are the most obvious manifestation of the highly individualized biological clocks we inherit, but these clocks also regulate bodily functions from digestion to hormone levels to cognition. By understanding and respecting our internal time, we can live better.

I stopped and started this a couple of times over the last few months but really did want to get through it. It was a really interesting book that considered different aspects of sleep and how they can influence our lives. The core of the book is sorta centered around early birds or night owls but it goes so much further and deeper than that. The book was researched, smart, interesting, and readable.
