Minimum Wage
Minimum Wage | Bob Fingerman
Roy Hoffman is a guy just trying to eke out a living doing cartoons for sleazy porno magazines and an even sleazier kiddy satire rag. Sure, it beats digging ditches for a living - though at least a ditch digger's got benefits - but it's not all he'd hoped to use his talents for. He lives with his roommate, Jack, a compulsive book collector, whose accumulation of belletristic debris is literally encroaching on both their breathing space. Rob's girlfriend Sylvia is getting that cramped feeling too, living with her brother and his extremely noisy paramour. Between reluctantly night-clubbing with his buddies, delving into the less than glamorous world of tabloid porndom, being subjected to New York City's leather-clad S&M/performance art underworld, bopping all around Brooklyn, maintaining a relationship and trying to meet his deadlines, it's amazing Rob ever gets any work done.
