A timely book in theory, but it reads more like gossip than history. Eisinger frequently gets lost in the stories of the prosecutors themselves, a procession of leaden Great Man narratives, leaving the political and social trends that shaped these decisions by the wayside. This made the book a bit of a slog for me. There is important stuff here, but it has been covered in a more systematic way elsewhere.
