pickSuch a compelling and emotional read of loss and grief. The ending, however, was too drawn out and repetitive.
It made zero difference that I haven't read Firefly Lane, which I didn't know was book 1.

so-soNot my favorite of her memoirs. As it is a memoir of her family tribe there was just so much going on with all the various family members that the writing felt choppy. I did very much love the tribe living though; and if I could, I too would have my whole family within a six block radius.
