The Rule of Three: Will to Survive | Eric Walters
4 posts | 9 read | 2 to read
Adam has killed again. It had to be done, part of him knows that, but it changes a person. It can certainly change a teenager who's already grown up too quickly, too harshly, in the wake of the catastrophic global blackout five months ago. In the name of safety and survival, Adam and his neighbors have turned their middle American suburban neighborhood into a fortress, defending against countless enemies. Adam wants to hope, wants to be what his girlfriend Lori wants him to bebut there's always a threat tugging at the edges of his consciousness. What's lurking in the dark is a greater danger than ever before: somebody who wants to destroy the Neighborhood and stop their strategic alignments with other powerful enclaves. More than that, though, it's personal: this somebody wants to destroy Adam. And he knows his prey is already wounded. Soon, the hunted becomes the hunter . . . and Adam hates himself for what he will have to do. Because sometimes even the dark is not cover enough for things that would never happen in the light.

So good! The series overall was really great! Ending is slightly sad but the series together is soooo good!

It was less action packed, but it was more emotional, and scary. It really tugged at my heart strings. At the end Herb‘s letter almost made me cry. “Adam if you are reading this it means I‘m dead. Not gone or lost or off to a better place. I didn‘t have the time to settle down with a wife and raise kids. If I ever had a son, though, I could have only hoped he would have been like you. With great respect, hope, and love, Herb.” That was a small bit

Will_GH The book was amazing and so very emotional 5y

Will to Survive is the book that ends The Rule of Three trilogy. And it ends with a bang! Although having some problems, for being a little bit too superficial at points, the series does have better character development than other books of the genre. The story is interesting and the series makes for a fun read.
