so-so“There should be a word for when you miss a person in the future. Not just missing memories of them, but missing memories you never got to have with them.” I love this quote and the description of grief from both families. I did feel the author kept circling the issues of gun control, radicalization, and extremism. I would prefer the issue be investigated more in depth versus the vague philosophizing.

pickThis was a very tough but moving read. Cora and Quinn have always been best friends. That is until Quinn‘s brother kills Cora‘s sister in a school shooting. Now they haven‘t talked in almost a year. Cora is dealing with loosing her sister in such a tragic way. Quinn is dealing with wanting to know if she could have stopped her brother. When Quinn gets the idea that she could time travel back to the tragic day and stop her brother she knows 👇🏻
pickThere is nothing easy about this profoundly moving and utterly necessary book about life in the aftermath of tragedy. It‘s an unflinching, heartbreaking MG story about resilience, grief, friendship, guilt, survival, and, ultimately, hope & healing. It‘s impossible not to want the best of everything for the two girls at the center of this story. Warga handles a difficult subject extremely well & while this isn‘t an easy read, it‘s a very good one.
