I decided to have myself a little cosy reading night instead of doing housework 📚😁 Really want to get this book finished before the #booktubeathon starts on Monday. I have 5 and half hours left so fingers crossed I get a good bit read tonight and finish it tomorrow.
How are you spending your Saturday?

“They expected me to save them and I didn‘t.” “You didn‘t know,” Gwen said. “I know now,” I said. “You can‘t save everyone,” Sylvia said. “Everyone needs a hobby.” 🗡🗡🗡🗡🗡 Definitely moving further into crazy sauce territory. Still very entertaining. #urbanfantasy
When I saw today's prompt for #spookyoctober my first thought was Asher who made his first appearance in the Anita Blake world in the tagged book. He is a very #moody person.

I've had this book sitting on my shelves for years (thank you to my friend who gifted it to me for being so patient in my inability to start reading this) and FINALLY picked it up. I then promptly could not put it down. Hamilton's world of the preternatural and Anita Blake has all the sophistication of Anne Rice but with a fun, scrappy edge of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Looking forward to reading more of her books!
This is one of the books in the series that really pushes the characters along. There are repercussions for decisions made in the last book and, along with them, the side effects of said decisions.
There isn't much I can say without ruining something in the book but a character arises that I've been dying to meet again since restarting the series. He's a favorite of mine 😏
Things are crazy as always for Anita Blake and I still love the ride.
