A low pick. I like the idea and it is certainly a book I would not want to discourage anyone from reading. However, I found it just a little too easy to put down, and some of the details added for narrative effect didn‘t quite land for me. If you like, you can blame my ambivalence on the fact that I hate Edward I 😂

I knew I‘d borrowed this earlier and had to re-request it because I ran out of time and couldn‘t renew, but I didn‘t realize I‘d got as far as page 207 of 352!

I found a bookmark in one of my library books! Sweet.

I sometimes leave bookmarks in my library books as an Easter egg for the next person to borrow the book 😉

An absolutely fascinating read. My interest is usually focused on Tudor England, but this book makes me want to read more about medieval England and the Plantagenets. The lives of these women were so much more complex than what we would usually think possible for women of this era. It makes you want to cheer them on 700 years later.

Shiny new book from the library! I‘m loving the latest trend in royal nonfiction - an examination of the princesses and daughters of royalty whom are often overshadowed. This one looks at Edward I‘s daughters. Debut author. Now to find time to read this...
