This is what used book stores are all about - chancing upon a book you never knew existed, but simply must have because it resonates with you.
I grew up very close to The Mount, Wharton‘s home in Lenox, MA. They reprinted this, her account of a Mediterranean cruise written when she was 23, along with new photos taken especially for this edition. It‘s some of her earliest writing, and it‘s gorgeous. Proceeds went to The Mount restoration.
