Simple writing; she sometimes re-wrote the same description in different parts of the book. I wanted the story to continue and was sad it ended the way it did
so-soA woman tries to hold on to the family orchard through the Depression. A pretty amazing feat for a woman on her own at that time. An interesting look at bees, apples, rural folk, and hard times. I learned alot. The writing is basic but gets the job done.
