so-soMany people moaned about the ending, so I wasn‘t expecting too much. Especially because I wasn‘t too hooked by the whole thing. But I liked the idea of the ending. That doesn‘t make up either for the issues mentioned in my former blurb nor for that deus-ex-machina-mother but it helps me to become reconciled with this book.
Not my favorite but solid with a good idea to think about at the end.
All in all not too bad, I mean I read it in 2 days.
I was soo much looking forward to to this but after scarcely two third I must admit that the book doesn‘t meet my expectations. I can‘t exactly tell what Ruff does wrong. Technically it‘s nicely made. You don‘t even really realise that the whole plot is taking place in VR.
But …
I think it‘s his characters. That Darla-plotline is annoying and his effort for diversity feels like Ruff is toadying to the zeitgeist. 🤷🏽♀️
👆🏼 What a nice way of telling you that there is an annex. And, yeah, here come the drums 🥁, you are told this _before_ you reach the end of the story. 🤩

When I made a list of Christmas wishes I was very much tempted to put this one on but then I remembered that I wasn‘t too thrilled by his last book and so I discarded that idea.
Now I read in the book supplement of my newspaper that it is suspenseful, witty and way more than a espionage novel because its plot is set in the world of computer games.
Now I want to read it. Immediately. Why exactly did I not write it on my Christmas wish list❓🤔
