I picked this book mainly for the setting, which was Vienna in the years leading up to and during WW1. Fanny Schindler was born in a foundlings home and never knew her parents. She grows up to become a talented seamstress. At times, I felt like circumstances just magically fell into place for her, which made the story a little unbelievable. The final reveal of her parentage was a bit of a let-down. Ok overall, but not terribly memorable ⭐️⭐️⭐️
