Pickpick

Steamy, danger-bang romance that takes place in the hills of Kentucky. I‘ve never read anything like it; well written and a little bananas! Two people marry to align their moonshine running families to battle an interloper moonshiner bad guy. This was nearly a so-so for me but the speakeasy scene (and maybe those abs on the cover!) pushed me to a pick!

Mehso-so

I'd heard good things about this book, but to be honest it wasn't really my cup of tea. It felt like there was more sex than plot (which is fine if that is what you're in the mood for but I wasn't) and I wasn't really comfortable with what some of the modern-day moonshiners were doing as part of the territorial fight central to the plot. (Some rich folks decide to take over the moonshine business our heroine's family has long dominated.)👇

ScientistSam I feel like I might have been more ok with the plot if it were historical fiction, but it just felt too real and reminiscent of gang violence to me. Of course, that's just my two cents. It might be someone else's catnip! 4y
