Dolphin Girl Trouble in Pizza Paradise by Zach Smith is a really fun book about a superhero in training. This book is a fun read and a good transition away from picture books. It uses a lot of bright colors to draw you in and uses a lot of different fonts which is great for emerging readers. this book has characters that children will learn to love.

The illustrator uses a lot of white space Surrounding his cartoon boxes and will occasionally use pop out details. The speech bubbles often protrude past the cartoon boxes making it a more dynamic affect. The illustrations bring to life things like cheese and pepperoni to create new characters like Tony the pepperoni.

Pickpick

This story is beyond silly and would be great for older readers. There is quite a bit of adult humor and silly humor that appeals to all ages. The colors are bright and the drawings are simple. I think that this story is great. It is also broken up into parts to make it less intimidating.

This graphic novel used cartoon pictures to capture the story. I liked how it reminded me of watching cartoons on television.
