pickBig Little Spies is the 7th book in the Paws and Claws Cozy Mystery Series. I loved being back in Wagtail. I enjoyed visiting Trixie and Twinklefoots. I think you should probably read these books in order. That way, you have the background of the town and main characters. It may be confusing to you if you don't start with book one, which is: Murdered, She Barked.

pickA pet detective is murdered, and several guests at the inn, and several acquaintances of Holly's are the prime suspects. Getting to the reason for the murder took a lot of convoluted reasoning. It made sense in the end, but you have to go through a lot of other things to finally get to it. The sheer number of suspects made it hard to keep track of everyone and their secrets.
