Written in Stone is a marvelous addition to this series. A brave protagonist who can think on her feet and a well-thought-out and plotted mystery kept the pages turning rapidly. Delaney has really found herself and her place in Edinburgh.

The Chow Maniac felt a little more serious than previous installments, but I loved the Eight Immortals theme. Ms. Chien‘s core characters are strong and continue to develop as the series continues.

Waters of Destruction was a very enjoyable getaway. The characters continue to grow, the mystery made me think, and the setting was idyllic. I am excited for this series to continue. I am ready to pack my bags for another trip to Hilo, Hawai‘i.
