Eden Hills, Minnesota is famous for one thing—its '80s inspired Fashion Mall. When high school junior, Penny, lands a job at one of its trendy stores, she notices her teen coworkers all wear a strange symbol they won’t explain. Suspicious but wanting to belong, she agrees to stay after closing for a party in the closed store. Her fun turns to terror when Penny discovers a mortally wounded boy and learns there is a killer loose in the mall. Soon the teens are running for their lives.
Will Penny discover the truth behind the mall cabal and survive to slay another day, or will she fall victim to the galleria of gore?

I do like the Rewind or Die series, they are unapologetically campy horror that is short and to the point. Perfectly short slashers on a theme.

Camp Neverland - Campy witch story seeking revenge against the men/boys that have done them wrong. An actual witchy horror, which doesn‘t come that often. I bit eye rolling as a scientist reading about astrology type jiggery pokery.

Chopping Spree - twisted subversive 80s mall slasher. Great playlist.

This book was described as "an homage to 1980's slashers & mall culture," How could I resist? I couldn't. It was a quick, fast paced, fun read. That said, it was rough in some areas and seemed almost as much of a social commentary on consumerism as a teen slasher. It took an odd, unexpected turn that I felt detracted from what was promised. Definitely campy, but that's the point. 3.5 stars rounded up. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

This was a fun little novella. A teen who works at the local mall discovers it houses a cult devoted to capitalism. The pace moves along quickly. Penny is a good character, and we discover the secrets of the mall along with her. I love that this was an 80's themed mall, and the music playing in the mall was all from the 80's. I enjoyed reading it.

I received a free arc from net galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest review.

Reggie Love that little tag line on the cover! Lol 3y
