Looking for a fun light-hearted read this summer? Give this one a try! Kinda steamy but cute! About halfway through and it‘s exactly what I need right now. Light and fun! Let me know if you read it and what you think!

Wives and Daughters | Elizabeth Gaskell

“Nobody was autistic in the past!”

Lord Hollingford: shy, doesn‘t know what to say to people who don‘t have the same interests as him, would have learned from a book of small talk, simple character, famous scientist

Finally got this off my TBR!!!
Never having read anything by Blake, all I had going for me was the book blurb which sounded interesting then and still now but I wasn't expecting for the book to be about 80% slow build up with the last 20% being fast paced and attention grabbing plus between 3 perspectives from the queens, jumping back n forth vying for attention

I'm intrigued enough to read the next installment thanks to the last 20%.

This book is both beautiful and devastating. It shows us how vital and full of life the community of Greenwood was. We witness a beautiful and adorable love story. The characters are compelling and complex. The history comes to life throughout. And it shows us the true horrors of the history of the Tulsa Race Massacre. I do wish the ending had been longer, but overall this was fantastic.

Highly recommended!

The 1st in this cozy mystery series is a fun story with some chuckles and love characters. Raina Sun‘s campus advisor (and ex who owed her $2k) dies on campus during school break. Because she is high on suspects and her visiting grandma eggs her on, Raina begins hunting out clues on the murderer. And the fact that her childhood sweetheart is the lead detective doesn‘t deter her.

One Dark Window | Rachel Gillig

“‘There once was a girl,‘ he murmured, ‘clever and good, who tarried in shadow in the depths of the wood. There also was a King-a shepherd by his crook, who reigned over magic and wrote the old book. The two were together, so the two were the same: the girl, the King…and the monster they became.‘”

I couldn‘t resist this when I got the email that it was the Barnes and Noble pick for the month. I already added it to my TBR, but when I saw the purple edges. 😍

AkashaVampie I'm currently listening to the audio of this. I love that it's so purple!! 💜💜💜 3h

This audiobook lives up to all the hype. After weeks on hold I finally got it on my Libby App. What happens when a suicidal English professor meets a possible Bridezilla in the elevator of a swanky hotel? You have to read this funny novel - I was listening in my car and snorted my soda out while laughing too hard. There‘s some serious stuff mixed in with the fun. I want to know what‘s happening to all these people now 😹👍👍🐉❤️
