I am sad this didn't work for me. I cannot decide if living in a fantasy romance land where everything/everywhere Frankie goes is accessible is refreshing or pandering. But I can say this writing is not for me. It isn't good ... giving up at 1/3 in

***I am looking for other (better written) disability rep books if anyone has suggestions

I'm enjoying that the character, Weber is more weaved into this second book...he is the police detective that Riley is consulting for.

Thank you @TheSpineView for creating this fun play-card & for the tag 💕🐎💝.

1- if the day requires concentrating on too much screen time.

2- in book one, MC Riley has a proofreading job she doesn't like.

If you enjoy The Mummy with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz (I do!), I feel pretty confident stating you will enjoy this book. This was a lot of fun. I read in print and listened to this one and highly recommend the audio.

Finished January 19, 2025.

This book is pure magic, with one incredible scene after another. If I had to select one chapter to favorite, or one scene, it would be this one 😍💝 just amazing!

Ch. 41/42: Elinor grudgingly pays a last visit to John and Fanny before leaving London. John is ever the tactless twat and Robert Ferrars shows up and generally acts like a self-important windbag. Once at Cleveland, Marianne goes full-on emo, sad to leave the city where she last saw Willoughby but unable to stand being so close to Combe Magna, her personal Boulevard of Broken Dreams. She takes to sad-girl solo walks but uh-oh...she catches cold...

Crinoline_Laphroaig I once read somewhere, probably not true, the reason women in Regency times got sick from being out in the cold and wet was lack of proper shoes. I always think of Kate Winslet in the movie standing in the pouring rain. Her feet getting cold and it's lucky she didn't die. 15m
Andrea313 @Crinoline_Laphroaig I have no clue if it's actually true, but I bet some good solid boots would have done Marianne some good in any case! And that image of Kate Winslet in the rain is seared into my brain- total core memory! now
Susanita Gotta love a good Green Day meme. 💚 now

I‘m posting one book a day from my massive collection. No description, no reason for why I want to read it.

I think this was on the books that feel like a hug list? I read about it somewhere and it‘s just the loveliest magical escape from reality ( ish cuz there were a few passages when I thought they could be talking about Cheetos man and his peeps)
If you like TJ Klune, girl protagonists, choosing the right thing over the easy and a bit of magic - this is a book for you ❤️❤️❤️

AnnCrystal This book was simply delightfully beautiful 📚💝💝💝. 19m
