"I'm about to implement a policy of throwing people out the window whenever they make my life harder instead of easier."
Same, Sarrica. Same.
"Exit, pursued by a fucking bear."-Winter's Tale

I don't think I am smart enough for this book. But this quote made me smile -
"I had bought a new flat to start again from a nasty love affair that had given me the clap. Nothing wrong with my organs, this was emotional clap. I had to keep my heart to myself in case I infected somebody."
Book 1 in a trilogy; fantasy. Alina has a secret that even she doesn't know-not really. It's a revelation she's suppressed until it's unleashed in desperation. It's a secret that will change the world. Well written, imaginative. I'm looking forward to book 2 and 3. I might even watch the Netflix original series.
Book 1 of The Remnant Chronicles. A Princess tries to escape her fate and find her place the world. The BEST part is the setting. It is a future Earth, where all that is left of “the ancients” are a few places/monuments/landmarks that the reader can recognize as the west coast. I loved trying to decipher which city/landmark/structure the author was referring to.
St James is crazy good at spooky stories, and this one is another great example of her work. Psychics and murder and mystery and of course danger are all related to this novel. Won‘t say more because of the #SundayBuddyRead , but this is definitely another winner! #19822022 #2015
