Don‘t Feed the WorryBug is a great MF, SEL book to have in the classroom. It teaches students what worrying is, and how it can affect them if they let it control them. This book can help to create a positive classroom that promotes building students emotional awareness. The worrywoos.com website has a multitude of both at home and in the classroom resources to include this book in your lessons.

OliviaBuck It can also be used to teach students to seek out key details within the text. Students can turn to one another during RA and discuss what Wince is worrying about, and how the WorryBug is affecting him. This strategy aligns with EL strategy 10: teach think, pair, and share strategies in cooperative groups. This book can also help students facilitate personal coping skills and strategies (UDL 9.2) when dealing with worrying feelings. 4y
OliviaBuck I highly suggest adding Wince into your classroom library!! #ucflae3414sp21 (edited) 4y
