An exploration into the question of “why are we attracted to horror?” The writing is evocative, at turns sensuous & languorous, but also shocking, gory, revolting. The narrative sinuously winds around and back through time and genre, blending self-aware autobiography with Bildungsroman and slipping into horror. Real quotes are mixed in with fictional, actual events with imagined, & through it we explore the power and importance of story-telling.
