As a former Chicago street cop, Nash O'Hara never expected to make it to the FBI, let alone to be chosen for the elite and highly selective Special Crimes Unit. Needless to say, he's nervous about his first assignment. And his new partner, Destiny Kincaid, isn't doing anything to calm his nerves when she warns him that the case will most likely involve a dark and perilous curse. Fresh snow makes it easier to settle in and read. I haven‘t read the Bishop/SCU in order but will grab one when I need a break. Interesting premise that even after a psychic monster has been stopped in THAT SALEM, there is residual energy affecting the SCU and locals. There was a lot of gruesomeness that turned me off. I did appreciate that Hollis,Diane, Miranda and others could stop the evil without being in mortal danger. 3⭐️ out of 5.

Decent enough. 😐 But a little disappointing.

MaleficentBookDragon I loved this series when it first came out, but it‘s really gone down hill the past few years for me. It‘s a shame. I‘m still giving this one a try though. 🤷‍♂️ 3y
