There are some really spooky chapters in this book, but there‘s also a lot of dead weight. It often feels like we, the reader, are sitting alongside our protagonists waiting for something to happen. But, instead of suspense, the resulting feeling is just monotony.

Not bad, but underwhelming.

Summers coming to a close and falls just around the corner. So I had to do a little shopping for some spooky books to add to my shelf. Plus, I had to get Babel. Dark academia is perfect for fall.
