Pickpick

This is an okay book for beginners. There‘s an overview of the history of the runes, but easily half of the book is description of each one of the 24 runes. There is a pronunciation guide, which is really helpful. There‘s also a quick reference guide at the end of the book (also really helpful). There‘s also a list of books for further reading, several of which I‘ll be tracking down so I can learn more. All in all, it‘s a soft pick for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

I‘m still working my way through this book. The author estimates that it could take a couple months to complete the book, which makes sense. There‘s a lot of information here, but I‘m finding it really interesting so far. Definitely glad I have a copy of this one. I‘d hate to have to return it to the library before I was finished with it.

I‘m only a couple of chapters in, but this book is really interesting so far. I‘ve already learned something, and I‘m only on page 22. I‘ll post an update once I‘ve read further. :)
